Quaker Quest

A chance to find out more about Quakers

Our Quaker Quest has finished. It was a series of five evenings at which we shared our understandings about spirituality, Christianity and other religions, and the effect of these beliefs and understanding on our lives and what we stand for.

Now that the Quest itself has finished, we are offering a series of discussion evenings to look further at some of the issues raised, and others. Here are the dates:

  • Wednesday 16th September - What is a 'good' life?
  • Wednesday 7th October - Religion and Spirituality
  • Monday 19th October - Religion and Spirituality (2)
  • Monday 16th November - "Quaker Traditions"
  • Monday 14th December - "Quaker Traditions" (2)
  • ... and subsequent dates depending on what particpants would like.

Tea and coffee will be available from 7pm and the formal part of the meetings runs from 7.30 to 9.00. Each evening will start with an introduction by a local Quaker to start us off, and finish with a silent meeting for worship for up to half an hour.

Everyone is welcome to any or all of these meetings: there is no charge, and there will be no pressure to become a Quaker.
